PhotoToReminder · Android
Privacy policy
Updated 4 October 2026
Your photos, recognised text and reminders are processed on your device. PhotoToReminder has no account, advertising or studio-operated content server. Google’s text-recognition SDK can send technical metrics, as explained below.
Photos, text and reminders
PhotoToReminder turns photos or screenshots into reminders using on-device text recognition. Selected images, recognised text, notes, dates, reminder settings and any original photos you choose to keep are stored locally. The app does not upload your photos, extracted text or reminders to WebiSity Studio or a cloud OCR service.
Notifications are scheduled locally through Android. Sharing or exporting an item sends information only when you choose an app or destination through the operating system’s sharing controls.
Permissions
The app may request access to selected photos, the camera, notifications and alarms or reminders so the features you choose can work. You can change permissions in Android settings; this may prevent the related feature from working. It does not request contacts, microphone or location access.
Google ML Kit and platform diagnostics
The app uses Google ML Kit’s on-device text-recognition SDK. Google may receive technical metrics such as device and app information, installation identifiers, SDK events, image format and resolution, processing time and error codes. These metrics help Google understand usage, diagnose problems and improve its SDK. Google states that input images and recognised text are not sent as part of this diagnostic processing. Metrics are transmitted over HTTPS.
See ML Kit’s Android data disclosure and Google’s privacy policy. Google Play and your operating system may also process download or diagnostic information under their own policies. We do not use AdMob, run our own in-app analytics or offer in-app purchases.
Retention, backups and your choices
Local content remains until you delete it in the app, clear app storage or uninstall the app. You can edit or delete reminders and revoke permissions in device settings. Google and platform providers retain technical information under their own policies; deleting a local reminder does not delete their diagnostics.
Android backup is enabled. Depending on your device settings, the operating system may include app data in a device or cloud backup and restore it later. Manage backups with your device or backup provider; uninstalling alone may not remove a saved backup.
Security and children
Local files rely on Android’s app storage protections and your device security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. The app is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a support request, please contact us.
Support, your rights and contact
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to reply and resolve your request, relying on our legitimate interest in providing support. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose or any applicable legal obligation.
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold, or object to or restrict its use. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office. For requests, contact webisity.studio@gmail.com.
The publisher is WEBISITY STUDIO LTD, company number 16924225, based in the United Kingdom. Email, hosting, advertising and platform providers may process information internationally under their own policies and safeguards.
